Drama Synopsis

Set to premiere on November 10, TV CHOSUN's new Monday-Tuesday miniseries 'There's No Next Life' (written by Shin Yi-won, directed by Kim Jung-min) is a chaotic comic coming-of-age story about three 41-year-old friends striving for a better life amid repetitive daily routines, parenting battles, and monotonous work lives. The drama depicts the growing pains of three friends facing their second adolescence—considered the most unstable and confusing period of life—as they attempt to live their lives better.

Character Profile

Han Hye-jin plays Gu Ju-young, the planning director of Korea's most prestigious art center. While Ju-young appears perfect with a husband from a prestigious university and a multi-million won salary, she suffers emotionally as she makes every effort to have a child with her asexual husband.

The first stills released show Han Hye-jin immersed in art center work while expressing disappointment toward her husband at home. Han Hye-jin explained her motivation for joining the project: "I think compassion and empathy for Ju-young were the biggest reasons. And I wanted to create an interesting friendship among the three friends."

She added, "Ju-young looks perfect on the outside but I thought she was like an immature child. I was attracted to how she breaks down and grows while confronting a life that doesn't go as planned."
