Japanese Idol Miyazono Rena Removed from Dress Code After Dating Rumors Surface
Rookie Idol Faces Swift Removal from Group
A member of Japanese girl group Dress Code has been expelled from the team mere months after debut, in what may be one of the fastest removals in idol history following dating speculation.
From Debut to Departure
Miyazono Rena debuted with Dress Code in 2024, a group that officially formed on September 21 and made their stage debut on November 26. As part of Dress Code, Rena was also affiliated with imaginate's collective project HEROINES.
However, on November 14, her agency issued a sudden announcement declaring her expulsion from the group. The statement cited a "serious breach of contract" as the reason for her removal, though no additional details were disclosed. The agency confirmed that Dress Code would continue their scheduled activities as planned.

The Timeline of Events
The official announcement came less than 12 hours after alleged evidence of dating rumors spread across social media. An account known for "exposing" idols shared an image in response to one of Rena's tweets, where she had reposted news about another member's departure from the group.
The controversial image showed two individuals, with one person wearing a large face mask and implied to be the idol, accompanied by a male companion. This post rapidly gained traction, accumulating over 20 million views. Notably, it was posted approximately eight hours before the company's official statement announcing Rena's removal.
Part of a Larger Pattern
Interestingly, Rena's expulsion follows another recent departure from Dress Code. The timing and circumstances have raised questions among fans about the group's internal management and the pressures faced by rookie idols in the Japanese entertainment industry.
The swift action taken by the agency highlights the ongoing strict policies many idol groups maintain regarding dating, particularly for newly debuted members. This incident underscores the challenges young performers face in balancing their personal lives with the demanding expectations of the idol industry.
