Han of Stray Kids Reprimanded by JYP Entertainment After Revealing Chest Tattoo at Fan Event
Han Faces Company Backlash Over Tattoo Display
Stray Kids member Han recently revealed his extensive chest tattoo at a fan meeting, only to face immediate repercussions from JYP Entertainment. The incident has sparked widespread debate among fans about the agency's management policies.
Tattoo Reveal Goes Viral
During Stray Kids' Show! Music Core fan meeting held on Saturday, Han displayed a large tattoo running down his ribcage. The moment quickly went viral across social media platforms, with fans expressing excitement at finally seeing the ink that the idol typically keeps concealed.
The tattoo, which reads "Resplendent Life," was previously mentioned by Han earlier this year. While he had secured approval from JYP Entertainment for the tattoo's design, he admitted that the final size exceeded what he had initially promised the company.

Company's Swift Response
Shortly after the fan meeting concluded, Han communicated with fans through Bubble, revealing that he had been scolded by the company immediately following his tattoo display. He acknowledged that he would be covering it up again moving forward.
This isn't the first time Han has faced restrictions regarding his tattoos. In February, during the group's SKZ 5'Clock fan meeting in Seoul, staff members instructed him not to remove his shirt during his cover performance of Bang Chan's "Railway" specifically to keep his tattoos hidden from view.
Fan Reactions and Criticism
The incident has generated significant criticism directed at JYP Entertainment. Many fans have condemned what they perceive as excessive control over the artist's personal expression. Some supporters argue that since the tattoos are already known to the public and fan reactions have been consistently positive, the company's strict stance appears unnecessarily harsh.
Other fans have connected this incident to broader concerns about Han's career management, pointing to issues such as limited solo schedules, minimal brand collaborations, and inadequate management of his Spotify presence.
Cultural Context and Ongoing Debate
While some fans have defended JYP Entertainment's cautious approach, citing the fact that tattoos remain controversial among certain segments of Korean society, others maintain that such restrictions are outdated and overly restrictive for an adult artist.
When previously asked about future tattoos, Han stated he had no plans to get additional ink, though he did not clarify whether this decision was influenced by company pressure or personal choice.
